Dahab Slalom Week 2012

Dahab Slalom Week is one of the most spectacular sporting events in Egypt, now in its 4th year. It always attracts a great mix of pros and amateurs who want to race with pros! It's getting bigger and better every year as more competitors take part each time.

Some of the best windsurfers from various countries, including the UK, Russia and Turkey will be in the line up. We're expecting a mind blowing action-packed display of skills between this highly tuned and highly competitive set of riders. Don't miss it!

5 Square Windsurf School, Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt

Participants

Around 30-50 competitors.

Open status event - all welcome.

Preliminary event schedule

•     February 18: arrival

•     February 19: 10.00am check in, training session, opening ceremony

•     20-27 February: racing days

•     February 28: reserve day, awards & closing ceremony, party

•     February 29: departure

Rules of event

The event is held according to the ISAF 2009-2012 racing rules (latest edition, current on the day the filing of applications begins)

Competitors

Slalom, Professionals - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
Slalom, Amateurs - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
Slalom, Juniors - Up to 18 years old inclusively
Slalom, Women
Slalom, Veterans - 50 + years old

All winners will receive prizes, including gifts and useful goodies from the sponsors.
