HOLIDAY PRICES
Club Vass prices are accurate at the date uploaded, but could have since changed. Prices in the 2008/09 brochure supersede all other prices in other material printed at an earlier stage.
Once you have made your booking and paid a deposit of £150 per person is required. The cost of your holiday will not normally be subject to any change. This does not apply to invoice errors or omissions. Once a booking has been made, offers and discounts cannot be applied retrospectively. The balance of the price of your holiday must be paid at least 10 weeks before your departure date. Should you wish to pay by credit card a 2% surcharge applies.
If the balance is not paid in time, we may cancel your travel arrangements and retain your deposit. If you book through a travel agent, all contact will be via them. The price of your holiday may be subject to surcharges on the following items: (i) credit card surcharges. (ii) transportation costs, including the costs of fuel, or (iii) dues, taxes or fees chargeable for services such as landing taxes or embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airports. In the case of any small variation, an amount equivalent to 2% of the price of your travel arrangements, which excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges, will be absorbed or retained. For larger variations than this, 2% will still be absorbed for increases but not retained from refunds. In either case there will be an administration charge of £1.00 per person together with an amount to cover agents' commission. If this means that you have to pay an increase of more than 10% of the price of your travel arrangements, you may cancel your travel arrangements and receive a full refund of all monies paid, except for any amendment charges. We will consider an appropriate refund of insurance premiums paid if you can show that you are unable to transfer or reuse your policy. Should you decide to cancel because of this, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the date of issue printed on the invoice advising you of the surcharge. No surcharge will be imposed within 30 days of your departure. Whether you cancel or not you will also be entitled, on the terms set out in respect of major changes in paragraph "If we change or cancel your holiday", to accept an offer of alternative travel arrangements from us if we are able to do so. Travel arrangements are not always purchased in local currency and some apparent changes have no impact on the price of your travel due to contractual and other protection in place. We have included in our prices a charge representing the extra aircraft insurance and security costs which have been imposed on airlines and tour operators. You should be aware that this charge may change between the date of publication and the time of travel. Since these costs are beyond our control, we reserve the right to increase the amount of this charge at any time. We will of course inform you of any such change should that become necessary. In view of the current volatility of world oil prices, a fuel supplement may be added to the price of your holiday at the time of booking.
The UK government have announced their intention to replace Air Passenger Duty, which is payable by all passengers on flights departing from UK airports with a new Emissions Tax, known as Aviation Duty, with effect from 1st November 2009. At this time we are not aware of the final details of the new Duty, and prices have therefore been calculated as if Air Passenger Duty continues to be in effect. In the event that our costs increase as a result of the change, we reserve the right to adjust the prices shown to reflect those changes in costs.
DEPOSITS
A deposit of £150 per person is required to book holidays to Club Vassiliki, Club Dahab and Club Margarita. The full cost is payable at 10 weeks or less prior to travel.
UK FLIGHTS
Vassiliki - weekly charter flights operate Sundays to Prevesa airport during the summer, May to October. Transfer to resort approx 1 hr. Margarita - a weekly charter flight operates Sundays to Porlamar airport during the winter, November to April. Transfer to resort approx. 10-15 mins. Dahab - weekly charter flights operate Sundays to Sharm el Sheik airport year round. Transfer to resort approx. 1 hour. Main UK departure airport is Gatwick, other flights from regional airports may be available on request, at a small price supplement. For Margarita it may be possible to offer alternative flights on a shorter duration holiday from Europe e.g Amsterdam. Final flight details will be given on tickets and travel documents despatched approx 3 weeks prior to travel.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
Rooms - we can accept special requests for certain rooms within each category of accommodation but for operational reasons these cannot be guaranteed. Other items - requests for such as vegetarian meals in flight should be made at the time of booking.
WINDSURFING EQUIPMENT & ELITE BOARDS
Our policy on windsurfing is that clients can use any of our range of boards and rigs - there is no need to specify any board size on booking. At Club Vassiliki clients who wish to reserve an Elite Board for their exclusive use can do so for a supplement - as Elite boards are limited pre-booking is advisable.
KITESURFING
At Club Margarita kitesurfing is available either as a supplementary sport to windsurfing. Club Margarita caters for Beginners to Advanced.
CHILDREN & INFANTS
Children - 2 to 15 years pay a child price, as stated in the 2008/09 Club Vass brochure. Infants - (under 2 years at date of return flight, where no flight seat or bed is allocated) there is a small charge for airport taxes / charges & ticket charge. Cot hire can be pre-booked through UK office.
MOUNTAIN BIKES
At Club Vassiliki use of our range of mountain bikes is included in the holiday price, whether windsurfing or not.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Other than the specified pre-bookable sports at the various centres, all other sporting and recreational activities are only bookable in resort, not in advance.
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
Cover for accidental damage/loss to our equipment is included in the cost of the holiday. Negligent or wilful damage will be charged directly to the person responsible in resort
TRAVEL VISAS & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
For UK Passport holders a travel visa is not normally required for travel to Club Vassiliki (Greece), Club Margarita (Venezuela) or Club Dahab (Egypt) if simply visiting the Sinai region where Dahab is located (British Nationals travelling to Dahab only, for up to 14 days, do not require a visa, they will receive a free entry permission stamp upon arrival). However wisas are required if intending to visit other areas of Egypt such as the Nile delta or if planning to go diving - these can be bought on arrival at Sharm El Sheik (cost approx. £12). The cost is about US$15 but GBP is also accepted. As the cost of visa often changes, please check prior to departing. It's a good idea to have the correct money to hand and to buy the visa from the bank kiosks at the airport. This visa can alternatively be obtained in the UK by purchasing for £15 from the Egyptian Consulate, 2 Lowndes Street, LONDON, SWIX 9ET. Tel: 0207 235 9719. Open 0900-1300.
Non-UK Passport holders should check with the appropriate consulate as to required travel documentation prior to booking. At the time of publication no compulsory vaccinations were required for British Citizens visiting any of our holiday destinations, however, various are strongly recommended, especially to Venezuela and Egypt. Please check with your medical practitioner for up to date information on recommended inoculations. All clients are responsible for the provision of necessary vaild documents for their own travel abroad and own health requirements.
