There are a limited number of windsurfing harnesses and wetsuits to hire, but we recommend that you bring your own.
Winter : Nov - March
The air temperature in Dahab rarely drops below 20 during the day so it is always possible to windsurf in shorts and a rash vest. However during these months a shorty will help you last longer if you are prone to getting cold. Those who really feel the cold would maybe prefer a summer suit on the extra windy days.
The winter sun in Dahab provides bikini weather during the day. After sunset warm clothing is advisable - jumper/hoody.
Summer : April - October
The summer months provide perfect windsurfing conditions. Board shorts and rash vests are all you need unless you are really prone to getting cold. Rash vests/t-shirt are very important as the summer sun is very strong.
Many folk are scared off by the rumours of blistering mid summer heat. As the constant summer wind comes straight off the desert, the air is bone dry and lacks that uncomfortable humidity. This leaves perfect windsurfing conditions with unrivalled tanning potential!
For Spending
Currency wise, there are many cash machines close to the centre for local currency as well as a cash machine as you enter the airport. Euros and Dollars are often accepted but the Egyptian Pound is now the weapon of choice.
