This is beach life at its best, that's Latino Caribbean style! With windsurfing the common bond, socialising is easy and wonderfully laid back.
Bars
Start your evening with sundowners at a palm fringed beach. It's an El Yaque must-do; sipping a Cuba Libre or other local cocktail while watching the local hot-shots, including the likes of Ricardo Campello and Douglas 'Cheo' Diaz, perform extraordinary windsurfing and kitesufing feats.
For the very keen and energetic, there's bar hopping and crazy Caribbean clubbing in the nearby 'big city' of Porlamar.
Restaurants
Then move on to sample mouth-watering feasts at a fantastic choice of open air restaurants where the sea food and Argentinean steaks need tasting to be believed.
There are also regular 'Loco Latino' nights (Venezuelan, Brazilian, Mexican etc) arranged on specific nights (the team will keep you informed) with caipiriñas, Cuba Libres, drummers, dancing girls, mariachis, merengue, salsa, samba y mucho más...
Currency
Venezuela's local currency us Bolivares, which at present is a closed currency with its exchange rate set a 2150bs/$1. Banks for any spending on Credit/Debit cards use this official exchange rate.
