Evenings are warm and it is rare that any jumpers are needed but one packed wouldn't hurt.
Mosquito repelant is needed but can be brought in the local shops
No wetsuits are needed at all! (although the germans love getting overdressed)
Its recomended to bring a long sleeve rash vest and very high sun protection as the sun is extremly strong.
Its a good idea to bring gloves as the warm water can damage soft hands!
Currency - important!
It is best to bring US dollars with you in high denominations and as much as you think you might need - we are unable to exchange sterling in resort. Although there is an ATM, it is frequently broken and, if it does work, offers a very poor rate of exchange! Credit cards can be used in the mall and to get money but, again, at a bad exchange rate.
There are lots of alternative activities available for non-windsurfers however all trips have to be paid for in dollars - cards can be use to pay but again at a bad rate. Dining out, taxi's and items brought in shops must be paid for in Bolivares.
Don't forget about your departure tax...
Don't forget that all visitors to Margarita are required to pay a local airport tax of $73 when departing. This is payable locally at the airport, and is approx £45.00.
